Biography

Rich Girls is an American garage rock band fronted by Luisa Black (The Blacks). Originally a solo project with an EP and video release in 2013, the live band formed around a series of demos Black wrote and recorded during a year alone in London.

The band combines the polish of British art rock with the primitive energy of American garage. They made their debut at Noise Pop 2014 and were quickly tapped as a band to keep tabs on. With the release of Fiver, a collection of reverb-driven sparse pop gems, they've since found a small following in unexpected outposts across the UK and Europe.

This year has seen Rich Girls return to Noise Pop, release a cover, kick off their first west coast tour and begin work on their first full-length, Love is the Dealer.
